Responsibilities
Provide sketch of a part, subassembly, or simple piece of apparatus from a designer or engineer and
Drafts layout, assembly, and detail drawings
Works with Purchasing Department and vendors to calculate cost and lead time estimates.
Prepares bills of materials and specifications
Performs complete designs, such as gear train and CAMM layouts and drawings, sheet metal enclosures, and vacuum form products.
