Chief Operating Officer (Microfinance)

We are currently working with an international Investor Group that is setting up a microfinance company in Indonesia. To start and lead their operation, they are now recruiting for the best candidate for Chief Operating Officer. This is a senior management position with significant operational responsibilities, thus a strong knowledge and track record in the industry is needed. This position reports directly to the CEO.
- Overseeing the operations
- Responsible for the actual performance of the company
- Overseeing and manage the regional and branch development and operation. Develop vital parameters to monitor the operational activities in branches.
- Leading the Management Committee of product design as well as a variety of policy review.
- Leading the preparation of various business planning and budgeting.
- Overseeing the Company's operational risk framework, implementing the strategy / policy in line with the company's mission / goals of the wider company.
- Ensure that policies are responsible borrowing applied in all branches. Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal institutions on risk management in the development of norms of appropriate provisions.
- Always obtain information on market competition, building a healthy relationship with its competitors in the field.
- Doing the anticipation of future trends in the field of competition / product / process visible impact for the company's business.
- Lead the process of recruitment, training and performance evaluation of the staff in departmental operations through coordination with the Department of Human Resources.
Job Requirements
- Holding at least a Bachelor Degree in any related fields; business management and finance are preferred
- Having at least 10 years of experience in operation function at microfinance/financial or retail banking, including 3 years in senior management
- Experienced in handling or working at start-up companies is an advantage
- Experienced in handling credit operation is a must
- Experienced in budgeting and risk management
- Knowledge of human resources planning and legal is an advantage
- Strong knowledge and networking in the industry, and able to read the market trends and to obtain information on market competition
- Take-on-Challenge Mentality and ability to deliver
- Experienced in working in an international environment is ad advantage
- Proven track record in motivating and fostering a capable management team.
- Strong communication skill and people oriented personality
- Language proficiency in English and Bahasa
